Summer 2009!

Okay...i've seriously been slacking on my blogging. NO MORE! In May we celebrated Jack's first birthday with family and friends. I still can't beleive he's been here for a whole year!

This summer has been amazing so far and we're looking forward to lots of concerts, camping and a family reunion in August! Here are some pics from the last few months. Love to all!

Easter!

So for Easter we went camping with Sean's family and it was so much fun. The weather was great so that was a plus! Jack LOVED the 4-wheelers! He'd hear them start up and look all over so Sean tool him out for a few rides. He was so excited he just screamed and made noises the whole time it was so cute. Sean thinks he's going through withdrawals...could be. Then we went to my mom's for a great dinner. There's nothing better than being with family. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

Easter Bunny

So I'm a first time mom...and I decided that I needed to take Jack to see the Easter Bunny at least this one time since it's his first Easter. I took him to South Towne Mall and the girls asked how old he was and were preparing me for the backup plan when he started crying and I told them he'll be fine he'll love it...well I was right! he smiled and laughed and kept trying to steal the poor bunny's glasses. We couldn't even get him to look at the camera! Finally we got this shot. Happy Easter! We love you all.

Life

I can't believe it's March. I was telling Sean that life seems to move in hyper-drive when you have kids. I know there's a lot of fear with the economy the way it is right now. I have to remind myself daily that just having this life, and having Sean and Jack and family and friends is what's important.

Jack turned 10 months old on the 22nd. I can't even believe it. He's learning new things everyday. Yesterday I pretended I was blowing out the lights (by flipping the switch) he thought I was pretty cool and then he started blowing at the lights so I'd turn the switch on and off for him and he was so proud of himself and gave me that "mom, look what I can do" look. I'll have to get it on video for sure.

He's pulling himself up on EVERYTHING and thinks he can climb up the stairs (he can climb up the stairs but we don't let him) He's into everything and constantly needs to be doing something...just like mom.

He's teething too so that's no fun for him or us. One of the only ways we can get him back to sleep is to lay him in the chair in his room and rock him. (there's a picture below) My aunt bought him a little goat puppet that sings a song from the Sound of Music and he loves it. His new favorite spot is by the backdoor so he can look at the dogs (picture) and he LOVES posing for the camera.

I know we don't get to see all of you as much as we'd like, but we think about you often! Good luck to my two friends who are finishing up their master's degrees in the next month or so...you guys will make it out alive! I'll be waiting on the other side with some drinks in my hand.

We can't wait for the family reunion this summer. Lots of love to ALL of you!

Goodbye

My parents had to put the little dog we had growing up to sleep yesterday. It was a really bittersweet decision. Mickie had kidney failure and was dying. She wasn't eating and had to get nutrition iv's every 12 hours. She still moved around and played but wasn't going to get any better. My parents made the tough decision and said she went really peacefully. As hard as it is, I know she's better off not being in pain. I wouldn't want to be hooked up to a bag everyday either. They chose to have her cremated and sent to the Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary in Kanab where they'll spread her ashes, along with other euthanized dogs at Angels Rest the pet cemetary there. It's a beautiful place (i've posted some pictures) Rest in Peace friend!

It's February!

We've stayed super busy this month! Sean is busy at work and finishing up his fire inspector class and I started work on the 9th. It's been fun so far! (plus I've missed my rush hour traffic calls with Brittany)

Jack is crawling now! It's so funny to watch him and he pulls himself up on everything. I can't believe how fast time flies. I'm sure he'll be walking soon.
Other than that we're just counting down the days until spring and can't wait for the Murray Family Reunion this summer up at Seeley Lake in Montana.

Here's a few recent pics of jack and as soon as I figure out how to post the video of him crawling that's going on here too.

These are a few of my favorite pictures that Katie took of Jack.

Pictures of Jack!

Today we went to Katie Torriente's for pictures. She's a neighbor of a friend and needed models for her portfolio because she's starting a photography studio. Here are two of the pictures. I'll share more after we get them on a disc!

Thanks to Katie for the awesome pictures!
